Paula Patton (born in 1960) is an American actor. She has also directed films, including Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol. While growing up in Los Angeles with a middle-class mother, the actress had plenty of dreams. Her parents were a loving mother who loved to watch movies. Paula became involved in many co-curricular activities in school and had an interest in drama. Paula loved playing the role of an actor with her friends and participated in school's stage shows. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School's Hamilton Magnet Arts High School was the setting for many school productions. She decided to become an actor. She attended the University of Southern California in a summer program and thoroughly was awed by her experience. She received a 3-month contract to produce documentaries on PBS. When she was able to complete the assignment with success, she began working as an assistant in the production of TV documentaries. Later, she was able to produce documentaries. Her work was rewarding however, she always wanted to be an actor. Her acting debut came by playing a supporting role in Will Smith's romantic comedy Hitch. She has appeared since in a variety of films and television series.
