Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist and businesswoman. She's co-founder and CEO of Thrive Global, as well as the author of 15 books. Arianna Huffington has worked as a TV host, journalist, philanthropist and author for more than ten years. She also is the founder of The Huffington Post, an free-of-cost online news magazine. Originating from Greece, Arianna Huffington moved to England with her family at the age of 16. While at Cambridge University she earned a MA degree in Economics. The first graduate who was not from the UK to be elected the president of The Cambridge Union at the age of 21. As a conservative syndicated blogger when she graduated, she went on to become a voice of the Huffington Post. The fame of her name helped in getting several high-profile contributors to share their opinions about news from the world of politics and culture. Arianna became famous after she decided to become an Independent Candidate for the California Recall election to succeed former Governor Davis. Also, she was the head of an Detroit fuel-efficient car project. Forbes listed her 12th in their list of the Top Popular Media Women. Guardian also included the HuffingtonPost in their list of the top 100 in the year 2010. AOL Inc. acquired The Huffington Post in 2011 and appointed her the president of their media company, which also included the other AOL brands like Engadget AOL Music Style list as well as Patch Media. Elli Stasinopoulos was a daughter born to Konstantinos an advisor to management and journalist. She was extremely close to her father. But it was her bond with her mother that has shaped her. In her early years she showed the leadership abilities that she is still known for. In the year she turned sixteen, she left the United States to the United Kingdom and enrolled Girton College Cambridge. During her college days she was a member of the college debate Society Cambridge Union where she became the first foreign president and was also the third female president. In 1972, her master's in Economics was conferred. She was a journalist, a TV host and columnist upon her graduation. Additionally, she starred alongside Bernard Levin in an episode of Face the music and started writing books using the editorial services of Bernard Levin.
