Lucy Liu is an American actress voice actress director producer and vocalist. She is an attractive, talented actress who has helped many Asian actors to achieve success in Hollywood. A series of successful early roles in a popular TV show led to her becoming well-known for her part in the character of Ally McBeal, where she appeared as Ling Woo. After a sudden surge in her popularity, she got roles on the big screen like Shanghai Noon and Charlie's Angels. The actress also gave a superb performance in the role of Japanese criminal O'Ren Ishii, in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Volume 1. In the meantime her role as an actor in films that failed that were box-office hits like Rise: Blood Hunter were as well-known. She then began to voice characters from animated films such as Kung Fu Panda or Tinker Bell. Mia Mason, in Cashmere Mafia and other small-screen characters, failed to achieve any kind of success. Southland's critically-acclaimed police drama, Southland and a recurring part in the show helped Liu establish herself her status as a well-known actress. Liu is extremely careful when picking her roles so that she isn't a victim of stereotypes. Although she is extremely proud of her culture but she doesn't let it limit her imagination.
